This notice explains the scope of Clash Knowledge Base’s services, risks of use, and limits of responsibility. Read it before downloading software, importing a configuration, or changing network settings. For work devices, production networks, or critical operations, obtain the necessary authorization and prepare a recovery plan you can carry out.

1. About This Site and Its Services

Clash Knowledge Base is the official Clash website, offering client guides, download links, configuration instructions, and troubleshooting resources. The clients, cores, and related tools covered here may be developed and maintained by separate projects. Organizing information and providing links does not mean this site develops or controls every piece of software featured.

Download links help you find a client suited to your device. They are not a promise of ongoing maintenance for third-party projects, specific features, or service availability. Providing tutorials or download links does not make this site the provider of any network service you choose, nor do we guarantee that any subscription, node, or destination website will always be available.

2. Software Risks and User Responsibilities

Proxy software can affect how your device connects to the network. Misconfigured system proxies, TUN virtual adapters, DNS interception, or routing settings may interrupt connections, cause DNS resolution failures, restrict local network access, or conflict with security software and other networking tools. Assess whether the software is suitable for your needs. To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for risks arising from installing, configuring, and using it at your own discretion.

Before making changes, save your original configuration and record your existing proxy and DNS settings. Avoid changing several settings at once. If something goes wrong, disable the relevant feature and restore the previous settings instead of piling on further changes. Do not use unverified configurations in critical environments.

Follow the laws and network policies that apply where you live, as well as the terms of any services you use. Do not use these tools to infringe rights, access systems without authorization, or engage in other unlawful activity. When using an organization-managed device or network, follow its approval and security requirements.

3. Tutorial Accuracy and Version Differences

Tutorials reflect the versions and test environments available when they were written or revised. Later client updates may change menu names, button locations, default settings, or core behavior, and interfaces may vary across operating systems. We make reasonable efforts to fix issues we identify, but cannot guarantee that every instruction will remain applicable to all versions and devices.

Configuration snippets illustrate specific fields or troubleshooting methods. Unless the article explicitly says otherwise, they are not complete, ready-to-use configurations. Before using one, check its indentation, referenced names, and core compatibility against your existing configuration. If the interface or logs differ from the tutorial, verify the version and prerequisites first, then consult the Getting Started guide or frequently asked questions. Do not force the steps to fit.

This site may link to app stores, project websites, or other technical resources. The relevant operators control the content, availability, privacy practices, and fees of external pages, and may change them without our knowledge. Links are provided for convenience; they do not constitute an endorsement of all external content or make this site responsible for third-party operations.

After following a link, check that the destination and project are the ones you intended, and read the provider’s terms of service. Use your own judgment before signing in, buying a subscription, making a payment, or granting permissions. Resolve third-party service transactions, support issues, and account disputes through that service’s own channels.

5. Liability and Handling Issues

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this site makes no commitment to compensate for losses caused by user configuration errors, device compatibility issues, third-party service failures, or changes to external content. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or affects any rights you have under applicable law.

To help diagnose an issue, follow the troubleshooting steps in the frequently asked questions and note the client name, system environment, steps to reproduce the issue, and any error messages. Before sharing screenshots or logs, remove subscription URLs, access credentials, and other sensitive information. Any later revisions to this notice will be reflected in the updates published on this page.
